Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Chaaga account and its server-side records at any time, directly from the app. This page explains how, and what is and isn’t removed.

Delete from the app

1. Open Chaaga and go to Shop (the settings menu → “Shop”).
2. In the account card at the top, tap Delete my account.
3. Confirm in the dialog. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on this device.

You only have an account if you signed in with Apple or Google. If you never signed in, there is nothing stored about you on our servers to delete — see “Data that stays on your device” below.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in identity (the Apple or Google identifier linked to your account) and your current session.
• Your access to any Chaaga-hosted “Energy” balance provisioned for the account.

What is kept

• Records of purchases and promo-code redemptions are retained for accounting, tax and anti-abuse purposes, in a form that is no longer linked to your identity (the account reference is replaced with an anonymous value).
• App Store / Google Play hold their own transaction records under their policies — those are outside our control.

Credits and refunds

Any unused Energy balance is forfeited on deletion and is not refundable. Refund requests for purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Timing

The account record is removed immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.

Data that stays on your device

Your sub-apps and their chat history live only on your device. Deleting your account does not touch them. To remove local content, delete individual sub-apps in the app, or clear the app’s data / uninstall it.

If you can’t access the app, email [email protected] from the address associated with your sign-in and we will delete the account for you. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
